Requirements for Formatting and Submission of Publications

The publication accepts original scientific articles and reviews by doctors of sciences, candidates of sciences, young scientists (postgraduate students, applicants, students), as well as other persons with higher education and engaged in scientific activities in the field of safe, clean energy and energy efficiency, as well as promoting the development of innovative engineering solutions, sustainable energy systems and advanced technologies that ensure energy security, environmental protection and the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Only one article from one author, including co-authored articles, is accepted for publication in one issue. Authors submit articles that are exclusively their own original research in compliance with the rules of citation and references. Submission of knowingly false information or plagiarism is unacceptable and unethical. In addition, only articles that have not been previously published in other publications are accepted for publication.

To publish an article in Bulletin of Lviv National Environmental University. Series "Agroengineering Research” No. 30/2026, it is necessary to take the following steps until October 9, 2026:

2. To send an article formatted in accordance with the requirements to lnu.agroengineering@gmail.com

The editorial staff carries out anonymous peer-reviews of articles and checks for plagiarism. All papers are subject to plagiarism check using StrikePlagiarism.com by the Polish company Plagiat.pl.

The electronic version will be publicly available on the official website by December 30, 2026.

Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts are submitted as Microsoft Word (.doc (docx)) files, Times New Roman, 14, line spacing – 1.5, left – 3 mm, right – 1.5 cm, upper and bottom – 2 cm.

Volume – 7-15 pages.

Manuscripts shall consist of the following mandatory elements:

UDC (indicated by authors)

Article title in English. The title should briefly summarize the article’s content and contain no more than 12 words.

The author(s) initials and last name in English.

ORCID.

Affiliation, city, and country in English.

Mailing address of the educational institution or place of employment in English.

The author’s email for correspondence.

Abstract and keywords in English. The abstract must be at least 1,800 characters, excluding spaces. The number of keywords or key phrases must be at least 5. The text must be original; avoid using information from the article. The abstract should be written without subheadings, and the author should not cite any studies or other sources of information.

Submit the following in Ukrainian:

- article title;

- the author(s) last name and initials;

- affiliation, city, country;

- the abstract and keywords (the abstract must be at least 1,800 characters without spaces).

An experimental article must contain such sections as Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and References. A review article may have a varying number of sections with arbitrary titles, but the Conclusions and References sections are mandatory.

Introduction

It provides an overview of the state of knowledge on the relevant issue in the global scientific literature (a minimum of 15 references to English-language articles published in international journals over the past 5 years). The introduction concludes with a statement of the article’s objective or the hypotheses formulated prior to the start of the study.

Materials and Methods

This section should enable readers to replicate the entire study to verify the data presented by the author. It may be divided into subsections as necessary. The section should provide a comprehensive overview demonstrating that the author is aware of all possible sources of error that could affect the study results.

Results

This section may be divided into subsections as needed. The requirements for this section are the same as those for all international scholarly publications.

Tables and figures must be numbered in accordance with article content. Statistical and other details are provided in the notes below the table. Tables and figures are placed in the text of the manuscript immediately after they are first mentioned. All text elements in figures (graphs, diagrams, charts) should, whenever possible, be set in Times New Roman.

Latin names of genera and species are given in italics; the author’s last name and the year of the species’ description are given in regular type. SI units are written without a period (m, g, ha, mol), while non-standard units are written with abbreviations (ex./m², etc.). It is preferable not to use abbreviations for scientific terms in the article.

Discussion

In this section, it is summarized the results which are compared with 10–20 findings from other studies.

The Results and Discussion sections may be combined into a single section of the article.

Conclusion

The conclusion – 5-10 sentences – should preferably be presented as a continuous block of text.

Acknowledgments (if necessary)

Acknowledgments are presented after the conclusion and before the references.

Conflict of Interest Statement

Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest or state that there are none.

References

The article must include a single list of references formatted according to the АРА style (American Psychological Association) and arranged in alphabetical order. The list must contain at least 10 sources. Each source in the reference list must be cited at least once in the text. To ensure the quality of scientific citations, the DOI of each source (if available) must be included in the reference list. The sources should be up-to-date and primarily consist of articles published in scholarly journals within the last 5–10 years. In the reference list, the proportion of sources authored or co-authored by the article author(s) must not exceed 10% of the total number of sources.

Prohibition on using the aggressor state’s scholarly papers:

It is prohibited citing and including in the reference list Russian-language publications published in any country after 1991, including papers written in other languages but published in russia and belarus.

Algorithm for formatting the “References” section:

If a scholarly work is written in a language that uses the Cyrillic alphabet, its bibliographic description should be transliterated into Latin letters.

Transliterate descriptions of Cyrillic sources using automatic transliteration systems: http://ukrlit.org/transliteratsiia

Edit the reference list according to the АРА style:

  • remove special characters from the transliterated description і (“//”, “/”, “–”);
  • correct page number notation (write “12 p.” instead of “12 s.”);
  • add “[in Ukrainian]” at the end.
